Eastern” sugar maple for carved top electric guitar. This is THE top wood used in the ’59 Les Paul guitars. All the wood for our carved maple tops we cut from logs we obtain locally in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia and Virginia. Cut with faces parallel – not wedge shaped. The pieces are not joined but the joint-edge is flat as are the inner faces. This maple is Sustainable Forestry Initiative Standard certified. Item: LP8014.
