“Eastern” Red Maple for carved top electric guitar. This is THE top wood used in the ’59 Les Paul guitars. All the wood for our carved maple tops we cut from logs we obtain locally in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia and Virginia. This piece is red maple (Acer rubrum). This is a 2-piece quartered plank-cut top. Item: LP4317
