Red Mulberry (Morus rubra) guitar back and sides. Similar density and hardness to Black Locust. Width of the pattern shown is 16″ (suitable for Dreadnaught size guitar). The wood was harvested from a local find in High Point, NC. This particular tree was over 3 ft in diameter and was covered in burls. I have matching headstock plates available made from the burl. We expect the tonal qualities to be similar to Black Locust, which is known to contribute towards a tone somewhere between mahogany and rosewood. (Note: This is a spectacular set in terms of figure but has a number of inclusions that would need addressed during finishing (see photo) Please contact me if you have questions. Item: GMB1419
